Worship Life

Our Response

At St. John's we see worship as our response to God's amazing grace. The foundation of worship is the gathering of the faith family around the Word of God experienced through the reading of scripture, the preaching of the Gospel, and the sacraments of Baptism and Holy Communion. Our service offers different styles of liturgy (a communal response to God through confession, prayers, and thanksgiving) and music.

The Waters of Grace

God calls people at all ages to enter into the baptismal waters. We believe in one baptism for the forgiveness of sin. If you are interested in baptism for yourself or your child please contact the pastor.

The Open Table

Holy Communion is open to all who believe in the words, "given and shed for you." You do not have to be Lutheran or a member of St. John's to receive.

Music

Music is seen as an expression of our faith. We have an adult choir, children's choir, bell choir, organist/music director, and praise team all dedicated to sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ in powerful ways.

We believe that all people are invited to sing the Lord's praises. We use everything from classical hymns to more modern praise songs to share our love of the Lord! If you are interested in joining one or more of these groups check the church calendar for the rehearsal schedule.

The Invitation

We see visitors and members alike as part of the family of faith. Come join us each weekend as we praise the Lord and receive renewal of the spirit!
